Before Your Laser Appointment

Follow these preparation steps for optimal laser hair removal results.

What TO Do
Shave 24 Hours Before Shave the treatment area the day before your appointment. Hair should be short but visible
Arrive with Clean Skin Come with freshly washed skin, free of lotions, makeup, deodorant, or perfume.
Avoid Sun Exposure Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Stay Hydrated Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment for healthier skin.
Wear Comfortable Clothing Choose loose, comfortable clothes that provide easy access to the treatment area.
What NOT To Do
No Waxing or Plucking Avoid waxing, plucking, threading, or using depilatory creams for 4-6 weeks before treatment.
No Tanning Do not tan (sun, beds, or self-tanner) for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
No Retinol or Acids Stop using retinol, glycolic acid, or other exfoliating products 3-5 days before.
No Lotions on Treatment Day Don't apply lotions, oils, makeup, or deodorant to the treatment area on appointment day.
No Caffeine Before Avoid caffeine 2-3 hours before your appointment as it can increase sensitivity.
Normal vs. Concerning Reactions

Normal: Mild redness, slight swelling, warmth (like a sunburn), temporary darkening of hair follicles.

Contact us if: Severe pain, blistering, excessive swelling, signs of infection, or reactions lasting more than 48 hours.

After Your Laser Appointment

Follow these guidelines for optimal healing and results after your laser treatment.

What TO Do
Apply Cool Compresses Use a cool, damp cloth to soothe any redness or warmth immediately after treatment.
Moisturize Daily Keep the treated area hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.
Use SPF 30+ Protect treated skin from sun exposure with broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
Wear Loose Clothing Avoid tight clothing that may irritate the treated area for 24-48 hours.
Let Hair Shed Naturally Hair will fall out on its own over 1-2 weeks. Don't pull or pick at it.
What NOT To Do
No Sun Exposure Avoid direct sun, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks.
No Hot Showers/Baths Avoid hot water, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 24-48 hours.
No Waxing or Plucking Only shave between sessions. Never wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams.
No Harsh Products Avoid exfoliants, retinol, acids, or perfumed products for 48 hours.
No Intense Exercise Avoid strenuous workouts for 24 hours to prevent irritation from sweat.
Important Reminders

Medications: Inform us if you're taking antibiotics, Accutane, or any photosensitizing medications.

Skin Conditions: Let us know if you have active cold sores, skin infections, or recent cosmetic procedures in the treatment area.

Before Your Waxing/Sugaring Appointment

Prepare your skin for the smoothest, most comfortable waxing or sugaring experience.

What TO Do
Grow Hair to 1/4 Inch Let hair grow to at least the length of a grain of rice (about 2-3 weeks of growth).
Exfoliate 24 Hours Before Gently exfoliate the area the day before to remove dead skin cells and prevent ingrown hairs.
Arrive with Clean Skin Shower and cleanse the area before your appointment. Avoid lotions or oils.
Stay Hydrated Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment for healthier skin.

Let Brows Grow Avoid tweezing, waxing, or threading for at least 2-3 weeks before your appointment.
Arrive with Clean Skin Come with a clean face, free of makeup, especially around the brow area.
