Brazilian Wax vs Sugaring: Which is Right for You?
What is Brazilian Waxing?
Brazilian waxing uses warm wax (either hard or soft) applied to the skin. The wax adheres to both the hair and skin, then is quickly removed in the opposite direction of hair growth, pulling hair from the root.
Types of wax:
- Hard wax: Applied thick, hardens, and is removed without strips. Best for sensitive areas like the bikini line.
- Soft wax: Applied thin, removed with cloth strips. Best for larger areas like legs and arms.
What is Sugaring?
Sugaring uses a paste made from sugar, lemon juice, and water. The paste is applied at room temperature or slightly warm, then removed in the direction of hair growth. Because it only adheres to hair (not skin), it's gentler and less painful.
